S.F. Conservatory Benefits Concert

This VOSOT fulfilled an assignment for my Television Center News course at San Francisco State University (SFSU). I chose to cover this concert that was organized strictly for fundraising purposes. All participants aimed to provide aide to Ukrainians during the latest Russian invasion.

Violinist and Teacher Rose Crelli felt devastated by the suffering Ukrainians were enduring.  In response, she organized a concert with cohorts and students at the San Francisco Conservatory.  She also rallied other local businesses to participate by providing items for auction.  All donations and proceeds were given to a non-profit that provided medical supplies to personnel helping civilians in need

I wanted to document one of numerous and ongoing efforts in the Bay Area to support Ukrainians

Earth Day 2022

This VOSOT fulfilled an assignment for my Television Center News course at San Francisco State University (SFSU). I chose to cover this event because of my personal interest as a vegetarian and admiration for environmental protection efforts.

As a long-time vegetarian and environmentally conscious person, I was happy to learn that Earth Day had resumed its in-person festival after two years on hiatus.  As a herbivore, I was also delighted to learn that it was 100% vegan

I wanted to cover yet another local, annual event that resumed its in-person status as we emerged from the pandemic.

This piece was created in April 2022.
